The Tele-A-Chair is a futuristic pre-Star Wars cast fiberglass lounge chair with a coin operated television cantilevered off the left arm rest with built in speakers in the headrest. The chair’s Sharp television and headrest speakers are in excellent working condition and cable ready. Invented by John R. Rice and manufactured in Van Nuys, CA between 1970 to 1973 by the International Movie Chair, Inc, this Tele-A-Chair was installed at Los Angeles International Airport in the early 1970’s. Travelers could watch a half-hour of television for 25 cents.
